How to get to Emory University.

For those with GPS or other instruments used to find their way around town, here is the address and coordinates for our monthly meeting place at White Hall.

From Interstate 20 Eastbound

Take exit 60-A, the Moreland Avenue exit. Turn right on Moreland and follow it approximately 3 miles. Moreland will change into Briarcliff Road once it crosses Ponce de Leon Avenue. Continue straight on Briarcliff approximately 2 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur one mile to the Oxford Road intersection.

From Interstate 20 Westbound

Take exit 60, the Moreland Avenue North exit. Turn right on Moreland and follow it approximately 3 miles. Moreland will change to Briarcliff Road once it crosses Ponce de Leon Avenue. Continue straight on Briarcliff approximately 2 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur one mile to the Oxford Road intersection. Turn a soft left to enter by the main gates of the campus.

From Interstate 75 North or South

Take exit 248-C, the Freedom Parkway exit. Cross Boulevard; continue on Freedom Parkway; veer left at split; continue until it ends at Ponce de Leon Avenue; then turn right. Off Ponce, turn left on Briarcliff Road. Go approximately 2 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur Road one mile to the Oxford Road intersection.

From Interstate 85 South

Take exit 91, the Clairmont Road exit. Turn left (south) on Clairmont and follow it approximately 3 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur approximately one mile to the Emory campus.

Where to park at Emory University?

For now, the best places to park are the Peavine Parking Deck and the Fishburne Parking Deck. The Fishburne deck is located on Fishburne Drive which is accessible from N. Decatur Rd and turn onto Dowman and then right on Fishburne. You can also access Fishburne Drive southbound on Clifton Road. Fishburne Drive is the last traffic light intersection before you get to the intersection of North Decatur Rd and Clifton Road. The reverse is to go north on Clifton Road.

The Peavine parking deck is accessible from North Decatur Road. If traveling Eastbound on North Decatur Rd turn left onto Oxford Road. If traveling Westbound on North Decatur Rd then turn right onto Oxford Road. Take that to back entrance of Emory and turn onto Eagle Row. Take that to the Peavine Parking lot/deck. You can also access the Peavine deck from Clifton Road via Turning onto Asbury Circle. It’s the intersection next to the railroad tracks on Clifton Road.
